519 Thunder (-7) over Pistons
The Thunder are coming off back to back blowout losses but they played the Bucks on their 3rd game in 4 days and the Clippers who they covered against both previous games while winning one of them SU and the Clippers wanted to send them a message last night with a healthy roster if they were to matchup in the playoffs. Now they get a team in the Pistons who are obviously a step down in competition who they should dominate against. The Pistons don’t have much to play for the rest of this season and the team seemed to be disappointed Derrick Rose’s recent injury as he was their best player and they traded away or bought out their other best players in Drummond and Jackson. The Pistons are also playing their first game at home after being on the road for a week so I’m expecting them to come out flat while the Thunder should come out with some added motivation. The Thunder are on a back to back but they’re 8-1 ATS in back to backs and 11-6 ATS when they’ve lost 2 of their last 3 games. The Thunder are also one of the best teams ATS overall for the season and they’re covering 56% of the time on the road while the Pistons are only covering 45% of the time at home. The Thunder are 2-1 ATS in their last 3 games on the road vs Eastern Conference non-playoff teams with a point differential of +6.3 while the Pistons are 1-1 ATS in their last 2 games at home vs Western Conference playoff teams with a point differential of -4. Thunder are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games coming off a double-digit loss at home and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 road games vs a team with a home winning percentage of 40% or less. The Pistons are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 home games vs a team with a winning road record.
