There is a huge miss understanding about LeBron James desire to play in major city like LA, NY or Philadelphia. His number 1 issue is winning so he will go wherever the team owner will spend any amount of money to win a title. He has that in Cleveland. The owner took on more than $10 million in additional cap space penalties at the trade deadline on top of the $50 million in penalties he was already paying. Secondly, he considers his family's happiness. His main home (mansion) is in a suburb of Akron and this is where he spends most of his time. Although it's an upper class town it's not anywhere close to the wealthiest suburb in Cleveland/Akron. He does not have temporary housing in Cleveland like most players. His older son is probably a 5 star recruit and will play at the high school where LeBron played and won 3 state championships. He then will almost certainly go to Ohio State where LeBron said he would have gone if he had to go to college for one year. Watch his son on You Tube, he's amazing for a 13 year old. LeBron says he even wants to play in the NBA on the same team as his son. Cleveland can offer him $50 million more than any other NBA team according to the Union Contract. Even though he doesn't need the money that's a lot. His best friend has already said in interviews that LeBron does not have to live in a major city to get the endorsements he receive's and his Nike deal is for $1 Billion (with a B). If Minnesota or Milwaukee meets this criteria that's where he will go.
