Oilers first period puck line minus 1/2 goal minus $1.10 hosting Ducks (William Hill)
The Oilers are way too pricey to back for the full game. But I do want the Oilers in this spot and this is the cheapest way to get them in what shapes up as a kill spot for them.
Edmonton has rapid revenge for a 5-3 loss suffered on the road to Anaheim this past Sunday. The Oilers are home now and have been idle for the past two days.
Not so for the Ducks. They played last night and upset the Jets in Winnipeg, 4-3, in overtime. Now they have to make the long journey to Edmonton on no rest and in an obvious letdown spot.
The Oilers are a top-10 scoring team, while the Ducks are a below average defensive team that gives up the second-most shots on goal and has a bottom-five penalty kill unit.
Look for the fresh Oilers to jump on the Ducks early and dominate.
My Friday card is headed by my Friday Bowl Crusher looking to stay unbeaten this month on my bowl plays after winning with the Under in the Notre Dame-Georgia Sugar Bowl game. I have my Triple Star Bowl Game of the Year going early Saturday. You can find my plays, packages and records here: https://pregame.com/pros/stephen-nover.
Best of luck and here's hoping for a great 2025!
