Couple nice winners last night and hopefully can continue the positive momentum as there's a big ticket available on the ice tonight so let's get to it!!
LA KINGS +150 REGULATION TIME Double Unit:
- Season opener for the LA Kings and home opener technically speaking for Buffalo despite already playing a 'home' game due to the season opening up over in Europe this past weekend. I feel there's a big advantage here for the Kings in the simple fact they haven't had to travel like Buffalo + deal with all the outside distractions by starting the season in Europe which is considered a 'showcase' game. I do feel it will be a bit of a grind like game however the Kings should come out on top in this one as Buffalo could be similar to the SJ Sharks of last year, this year......kidding, they won't be that bad!!
Boston Bruins -1.5 -107 Double Unit:
- Boston was HORRIBLE in G1 of the season and simply not that bad of a team + too much heart in that locker room to expect anything other than a A+ performance in their home opener. Montreal played main rival last night and pulled out a shocking 1-0 win vs the offensively gifted Leafs. B2B (Back to Back) games are always difficult and tonight is a perfect storm for this play given the scenario. Lean towards Bruins OVER 4-goals also +123
NY Islanders +120 REGULATION TIME TRIPLE UNIT:
- Expecting really good things from this Islanders team this year and definitely not expecting a slow start like they had last season!! One of the top goalies in the league I feel going up against a Coyotes team (Until the come up with a name, I'm calling them the Coyotes) that played a solid G1 however had difficulty getting quality shots off a 'loose' Hawks team. Islanders play a more defensive styled game and am expecting them to roll in tonight's home opener. Expecting game to be low scoring but will depend on how the Coyotes start...key for the Islanders to score early to fit their style of game.
CBJ/WILD UNDER 6.5 -117 Double Unit:
- Simple play on how these two teams style of play and how I feel they will compensate each other towards a pretty low scoring game. Personally like this at 6 or lower but will take the win vs potential empty net push
St. Louis Blues +104 REGULATION TIME TRIPLE UNIT:
- Blues showed something in G1 and that is they will not give up as they were down 2-0 vs the Kraken who are generally a pretty stingy team. What they showed with that comeback and then being able to hold the lead on the road is CHARACTOR. Hofer will get the start for the Blues who is a very solid backup goalie, perhaps one of the top 5 IMO.Sharks will be full of energy as they are a very young team, edge definitely goes in the direction of the Blues. Should be a fun game to watch despite being between a couple of the lower rated teams in the West.
Best Wishes everyone, enjoy the games!!
