I don't know the rules, He walked out with his ticket, so they didn't give him back 150, and if I was the bookie that put on the bet, I would not want my name mentioned with that bet. IRS, gaming commission, Real Bookie with baseball bat. He is going to have to declare were he got the money and so on. Many people have said, Why wasn't he arrested and questioned about the whole lot, he will be if he wants the money back. If that 150k is anyway dodgy he f*cked up more than a bet.

I know of a criminal from Dublin, who was behind a horse racing coup in England. He put over 100k on a horse at 25/1 and the horse won. So he had a party and everybody put photo's up online, he was even interviewed on racing TV about it. One police officer back in his home town spotted the interview and took action. They arrested him at the airport when he got back. Held him on money laundering, then raided all of his criminal friends, in the end of it all. He got 10 years for supply and sell of Drugs and money laundering. they took his house and cars, all his wife jewelry for tax owed. And because other criminals got caught up in the crap, there is now a death threat on his head when he gets out. A lot of big wise guys got hurt because sang about his win. BTW the bookie cancelled all bets on the horse and anybody that wanted their money back had to prove were they got it from, every few big bets were claimed back.
In the end the Irish tax payer got back 8.2m euros off a criminal organisation in assets, Nobody knew how big they were until one clown sang about his winnings. He had it all, and now he has nothing but a price on his head.

Another good story part of that was a small time criminal that was well in with the gang, knew about the plot but had no money to put on the horse, So he want out that morning and robbed a post office and got 5'200 from the robbery. He put 5k on the horse. When he went to collect, he was told to wait while they get the cash. Police arrive and arrest him for the post office and the 5k that he put on the horse, has the same serial numbers as the notes robbed from a post office earlier in the day. And when they raided his house, they found the gun and to make matters worst, the gun was used in a shooting a week before were a man got shot dead and the Hit mans finger prints were still on it. The post office robber got 12 years and a death threat on his head and the Hitman got 20 years and he didn't even have a penny on the horse.

True story.

You need to write a screen play. This would make a great Netflix series.

All the big books also have cameras.
They can see if someone was the actual person placing the bet.
Not sure how much posting his ticket mattered. However, if I found the post then it's easy for others in major sport book companies to see it as well.
