if i bet a unit size of 10 dollars at -110 does my unit size change to bet -120, -130 an so on to get the same return? otherwise i could have a winning record but lose money

You shouldn’t be gambling if you don’t know the answer to that question. If you lose a -210 bet, you would have to win TWO bets at +105 just to be even.
Conversely, you could have a losing record and be plus money if you can pick the correct underdogs and win.

Depends on how youre betting. Flat betting or Bet to win?

Your unit size will always stay the same. If you flat bet at -110, you bet $10 to win $9.09, conversely, if you bet to win at -110 you would bet $11 to win $10.

If you bet a -210 and bet to win, you would be risking $21 to win $10.
