I’m with Gawfstix on this one. Even smart billionaires make mistakes. Loading yourself with $44 billion in debt to own the libs and the haters, and then undermining your only revenue stream in your first two weeks, is the opposite of what smart billionaires do.
Elon is thirsty for attention and people talking about him. Mission accomplished, it just may be more expensive than he planned.
Im still on Twitter and haven’t noticed an uptick in Nazis and fake accounts, so it’s been biz as usual for me. However, I think you’d have to admit he’s turned the brand into a punchline over the past two weeks and destabilized his revenue base, the advertisers. No one is gonna pay $8 a month to use a site that’s been free for 10+ years.
Hell, I’d pay $8 a month to be on pregame because I get information I can use and find value. I’d be off twitter in a minute if I had to pay.
