So I dabbled in this conversation awhile ago with Charlie Kennedy.
I wanted to dive in and see if anyone else wanted to share their thoughts.
So I divide what I consider my total bank roll by 100 and call that a unit. I do not believe in 1 star bets 2 star bets game of the years whatever you want to call them.
Everything I do is a flatbet(sort of). But I won't stop betting until I'm at +200 or better. So example if I make a 20 dollar bet at -110 to win 18.18 I'll make a 38.18 bet and if I win that I'll stop. Or sometimes I'll just make a parlay bet of 20 dollars at +200 or more and stop if that wins.
I have noticed for the most part if people bet plus money they bet less. They will bet to win one unit instead of bet 1 unit. Why do they do that. Is that just an old way of thinking?
If you are making a bet at+200 I assume it's because your handicap says it will play out favorably for you more than 33 percent of the time or you wouldn't make the bet. If that's what your handicap says why bet half a unit? I'm curious
Is anyone else a flat better? Do others find success in the 1 star 2 star 3 star method?
