Hello Everybody,
I finished my handicapping for tomorrow's card for the night, going to pack it in and resume tomorrow morning. Now, I just came off a blow-out loss on Oklahoma catching 9.5 at Kansas. There was little hope at the beginning, but sure enough it kept dwindling and Kansas routs by 30; cashed my smaller play on the over 165.0 in the game. I was watching the game between the Golden Gophers and Badgers, thought it would be an interesting one and it certainly was. When I did my handicap for the game, I was in strong favor of Minnesota catching 7.5. I was VERY close to betting it, but I ultimately decided not too. Now, near the end of the game I regret not taking Minnesota, however, what does Whisky do- in short- tie it up at 59 with a few seconds to go, and not only win but cover the number. Now, yes I did not bet it, but it just got me thinking how bad of a beat that probably was for the people taking Minnesota with the points; that had to hurt.
I have had bad beats before, like everybody else, and I thought it would be interesting to start a thread where we could entertain with those kinds of losses, or lucky wins, that we all had. I always love hearing about them from my friends or reading online, they make for a good little story. Just always remember, and I say it a thousand times and will keep saying it, money management and discipline are the keys to success. If you follow those two key principles, then those bad beats should not have a detrimental effect in the long run.
