Starting today, Steve Fezzik’s Bet Like a Pro results will be tracked and documented by ComptrBob.

Bob is an impartial third party with a long history of pick tracking. He has earned the trust of many in the sports betting community.

Bob will receive Fezzik’s plays identically to the BLAP subscribers (exact same fashion, exact same time). Bob will log the plays regularly in this thread (typically daily) and will tally the results. The results will continue to include the LIFETIME RESULTS of the BLAP program (just as they always have).

Complexity

A topic that always deserves attention when it comes to record tracking is the spreads/odds being used for grading. If the odds used for grading are not available to the typical player, then the resulting W/L record will look better than it should. Pregame.com’s strict general policy is at least half of the representative sportsbooks must have the spread available at the time the pick is made. This allows followers to be confident that they will be able to achieve a result AT LEAST AS GOOD as the record promoted.

BLAP members are making the effort to bet like a professional – which means more asked from them. As a result, the standard with BLAP is the odds must be available from at least 30% of representative sportsbooks.

Most of the time it’s obvious whether a line being used is fair or not. Sometimes it’s a close call. ComptrBob will make the final judgement whenever necessary. This will ensure that Fezzik’s record is accurate in every way.

Another area of complexity is the availability of non-standard bets. Some of the bet types used by Fezzik to help BLAP followers earn a profit are not as easily available in the market place as standard bet types. The key question is: can followers reasonably get down. Steve makes a strong effort to release only bets that followers can get down. Sometimes it’s a close call. ComptrBob will make the final judgement whenever necessary. This will ensure that Fezzik’s record is accurate in every way.

Conclusion

I believe that the starting point of a bettor’s decision to use expert information is trust. If you don’t trust the source, information is useless. Pregame works very hard to provide reliable game logs and records – empowering bettors to decide which of our experts are worth following. BLAP tracking is an extra complex endeavor. We are proud of the job done so to date (complete prior history here) and are extremely optimistic about this continuing with ComptrBob. Bob has asked for no compensation for his effort (another sign of his impartiality). Fezzik’s pick results are followed by many, and Bob’s efforts to continue making sure that Steve’s records are accurate is contribution to the industry. He deserves our thanks.

Not sure why you label me a hater when official on this site Jeff Scott tracked it but ok. You must remember some of what you would call haters I call them customers but either way are people who buy Fezziks daily plays that he sells. So officially he has two different records and two different customer bases. SO the ones who may have feedback from time to time may be daily customers who didn't win 125 units.

It's somewhat gratifying to see that civilly delivered constructive criticism can be

taken, and in this case, acted on by those in charge. Good move and a thank you to

ComputrBob for making himself availble for these type of tasks. The sports betting

community is better for it.

the key is when does Computer Bob or any person hired to track get the plays. if the pro's here have a play on Balt +105 in mlb and start is 7:05 then the pick is listed at 8:05 so it can be seen during the actual game, not midnight when the game is over.

point being if Fezz releases for ex 2nd half play at 10 pm its not in the page ( if wrong , correct me) so Fezz tells CB he had X pick the next day. CB is not BLAP customer I presume so he doesn t know if pick is valid or not but goes by what he is told. if not listed on the pick page why not txt CB so he knows the play while in progress , thats transparency imo.

it would end rumors and allegations posted in forums and on twitter of how valid the records are.

it takes 10 seconds to send a txt, otherwise the allegations will continue. why not do that and end any questions on the matter.

when CB posted Covers PG record it was deleted and was told the records were not verifiable even though the records came from PG archives. Hillary would be proud,lol.

seems so simple to me.

I didn't call you a hater, and I was quite specific about what Bob had tracked, especially based on the topic title. With regard to haters I am referring specifically only to the people that frequent the site in question.

Damn, I was needing Bob to do my taxes since my extension is running out so I hope this doesn't interfere with my plan.

I've been a fan of his for several years after watching him track the Super Contest and have no doubt he will give an accurate and unbiased record.

I understand not wanting to be paid so there isn't the perception of personal interest but surely Pregame has some Subway coupons lying around so he can get a discounted lunch?

Thanks to all who have nice comments about me. :)

I have started tracking the BLaP plays for Pregame and Fezzik in a different manner than I have in the past. All my posts for BLaP plays were just based on the "BLaP Update thread" posts by Fezzik, Johnny Detroit and Jeff Scott. Now, as RJ has stated, I will be texted, along with all subscribers, at the same time, plays that are sent out by Pregame. I don't anticipate I will have any direct contact outside the forum with any subscriber.

For now, I won't be posting (and obviously grading) the plays until the day after the event. In an ideal world, picks could be revealed as soon as the bet is "taken off the board" by the sportbooks. However I will be adding a bet "timestamp" (the date/time I receive the text) to each bet's description to allow anyone to evaluate and discuss any pick's availability (similar to the standard Pregame "picks" log). It will probably be difficult to assess availability of Prop bets since many times they have no uniformity/consistency.

Finally, if anyone has any question, correction, concern or comment on the BLaP records going forward please feel free to post in the "Update thread".
