Wow.
If you win one unit for the year at BLAP and lose two units for the year on your Home Page, is that a winning year at Pregame?
That's the question that stumped an actuary!
Actually, don't worry about it Steve, "I cannot even follow what you are asking" answers the question very well.
Apologies ahead of time for stirring things up, it's just that two things have really been sticking out lately......
1) It's not about you Steve. It's about your players, the people that buy the picks and put money in your pockets. You've NEVER had had a losing year at Pregame??? Rings kind of hollow since when you factor in the cost of the plays, not one of your players can say the same thing.
2) There are some fantastic people working hard at Pregame. Professional handicappers that carry themselves with a professionalism and attitude that is steeped in integrity and honor. To make claims that are based upon numbers that can't be verified and put themselves before their players would just never occur to these guys, it's just not in their DNA. These guys should be the standard, and all professional handicappers should adopt the same ideals.
Just try this Steve......factor in EVERY play, every play at BLAP, and every play on your Home Page, and then let us know if 2016 was a winning year or a losing year. It's really just that simple. NEVER is a pretty strong word, maybe the strongest, that's the kind of word that's tough to throw around without being 100% sure that it's accurate.
I don't doubt that you've given max effort every year at Pregame, I don't doubt that you've given max effort to improve podcasts, the forums, the videos and many other aspects of Pregame. That's great, and we appreciate the effort. But hey, any actuary can tell you that if a company has two divisions, and one division makes $1 for the year and the other division loses $2 for the year, then the company had a losing year.
But hey, gotta admit that I've been glued to the thread. To get down 100+ units was a crazy train wreck and to watch and see if you can climb out of that chasm is actually pretty compelling. Best wishes for getting back to even and beyond.
Carpe Diem -
