Pregame has taken massive PR hits the past few months. The reason they need a new monitor in the first place is the biggest one. Bob was called by JR a hater and accused of having an agenda (more than a few times) now he is suddenly the go to source of unbiased reasoning? Yeah I know people can change their minds about other people but timing is everything. Bob also has a very high reputation amongst people who read the forums. He is also pretty critical of the way certain people do certain things, including this site. Thus the comments of people that didnt agree with his assessments or findings. Associating with a past (maybe current as well I cant speak for Bob) critic is an obvious move. It lends to the idea that theyre moving forward in a way fewer people can be critical off. To use the new catch phrase of the day. Its all about "optics".

Maybe JR and Bob are not friendly, and that is actually a good thing. Keeps things a lot more unbiased.

I am not critiquing the move. I think it is a good one. But the reason the move was made is exactly what I said it was made for. To convince people that this place truly is transparent. To do that it has to convince more than the guys who are easy to convince. By getting a "frenememy" to oversee the operations of the gold standard when it comes to professionals on this site is a great step. But not if it doesnt go far enough.

We have to wait and see until it even starts and how Bob does it. But he has been around the boards a long time as well and I am sure he will take the necessary steps to make sure it is done in a way that will be very hard to be critical of.

Awesome move. Computer Bob is a well respected record keeper and will keep an accurate tabulation.

The problem with your statement is Bob never kept track of the BLAP plays when the 125 units was won so really not a fair statement to say.  Moving forward your statement will be true.
