Going Penn State +1 tonight

Should've come to this conclusion while it was up to 2.5, but nonetheless 

Irish D is great on the stats and good on the eye test. SoS is pretty even with Penn St but I question that a little. Their stats are padded a bit facing the likes of Stanford, Purdue, Miami OH, Virginia, FSU...gross. Not to mention facing Navy and Army which while good versions of those teams this year, ND knows how to play them, and obviously them not passing is going to inflate the Pass D numbers. 

Penn St D is legit as well, and more so I believe. They did leak to Oregon though, and I would do also very much lean OVER 45 in this contest vs ND. (Sidenote - PSU outgained Oregon in total yards and YPP in that one). I trust Allar through the air a bit more, and I trust they can get more explosives overall than ND. 

Irish got the shine of beating Georgia, but I think that one can be discounted a bit. Several reasons why UGA wasn't at their best. Also the Bulldogs screwed up several opps for points. Penn St is being looked past for their wins against "inferior" opponents. Ok, whatever, but SMU and Boise were damn good offensive units and they felt the pain. 

Looking forward to seeing some good football tonight....and I grew up loving the Irish....still have a place in my heart.
