But if they put the Line at 7.5 or 7 to entice Pitts backers and that would slow down the flow of SMU backers, then they drop the the to 6.5. that will give the illusion of pitts having a chance to be within a TD of SMU. and being backed to be with in a TD.

I think they have SMU by 10+ and want to get the Pitts side of the market flowing first. Therefore I think the Pitts +7 is a trap. I think it will drop 6.5 or even down to 5.5. and that will make it look like all the money on a unbeaten side, with 3 days extra rest and SMU last game they just made it through Duke look nice and neat.
