LaMelo came back with a bang in their opening game, putting up 34 points and 11 assists in 38 minutes against what is projected to be one of the best defenses in the league this year.

It wasn’t too much of a surprise as he had a 25/9 per 36 line in the pre season despite just shooting 38% from the field, and that was alongside Brandon Miller who had a 24% usage rate in pre season.

Brandon Miller is out tonight so LaMelo gets even more usage. His role was fantastic with 16 drives, 95 touches (4th in the league), 19 potential assists (3rd in the league) and a 30% usage rate.

He gets a great matchup here against a Hawks team who are going to be bottom half in defense and top 5 in pace. Should get it done.
