It’s going to be close. So bama @ home plus points is a no brainer.

That was my initial reaction also. I saw the line and thought wow they really think Georgia is going to win by a decent margin

laying -4.5 to open on the road at Bama is unheard of 

No disrespect but it was never 4.5. Bama fan here. Preseason look ahead was 3. Sunday it opened 2 then went to 2.5 then down from there and of course at 1 based on line history at vsin.
Bama home field advantage is worth a minimum of three points. That makes Georgia preseason 6 and a flop of five on a neutral field. I don't see any way you could make the line more than that after their performance against Kentucky and the weekly improvements plus offensive line starters returning with Bama. 

I personally think bama's going to win. That's where my money is, in more ways than one.

On the Line, I think it's exactly where it needs to be and the public has sent it bama's way, probably in light of the poor performance with Kentucky more than any intention by Vegas line makers. The Preseason 3 to a flop of two after the Kentucky performance looks very natural to me. Whatever bias I may or may not have included. Good luck. Roll Tide
