I'll start by saying I haven't gone back to prove this. 

It is my perception and my perception only but it makes sense to me. 

My observation is a lot of bowl games have gone over this season.  Totals 1st half and second half totals all seem to be going over consistently this year. 

Look for games to start going under.  

1. Typically these teams will be more motivated.  Motivation typically shows up in effort and defense. 

2. We are reaching the point in the season some of these teams haven't played for over a month.  Offenses will be effected the most by this lay off.
