Love it!! After watching DJ over these past few years I can say nothing would surprise me.. But I'm hearing he is going to Oregon State. His Dad was one of the main problems his first year but the University took care of that and told him he wasnt welcome anymore especially around the other players. DJ did work hard in trying to improve, lost weight and was a bit better with his arm but hes just not capable of running any kind of college offense.. he looked dazed and confused alot of the time..and he ran like Herman Munster.. He is a good guy and stays out of trouble but beyond that he should get his education because I dont see him playing on Sundays. Maybe a community college close to Dad would be better!! I will add that I attended almost all the home games over these past seasons and saw up close DJ in action.
Truly not a leader on the sidelines and more-over one would think that after being with and watching Trevor Lawrence handle himself and learn from that DJ would have done better. I truly believe he was recruited because of his arm and they felt like they could work with him on the rest of his skillset, especially behind Trevor. Obviously it was a gamble that really didnt pay off. He should have been pulled in the Carolina game and the outcome may have been different.
Clemson did win alot of games with DJ starting but he had alot of help in doing it. If you look at his progress along the way and analyze his progress... it basically stayed the same. The playoff game was a prime example of a three year starting quarterback where his first two possessions were those of a freshman QB. he was replaced with a freshman quarterback who like like a third year senior who took control and ran that offense like it was His! I rest my case your honor!
