Yech got a big win Saturday. Well, in name value and big for Yech, that is.
But, the name FSU carries more weight than the team in the field the last 4 years. They aren’t a good team. They are breaking in a new coach, new scheme, with the same tired, average QB.
That game was ugly throughout. FSU was up 10-0 at half. After 3quarters Yech had 7 points...7. That’s not going to cut it come Saturday.
This will be UCF’s 1st game. But, they’ve also had time to watch and learn from others mistakes. They’ve had scrimmages, unlike Navy and others. They have the far better QB and cohesive offensive scheme and staff. Yech won’t sneak up on them.
Yech is on the come up. I like the staff and direction. This was the new staffs 1st big, name value anyway, win. Double digit dogs and win outright, They have been getting patted on the back all week. But, asking that team, to come off a highly emotional road win, in which they are probably still basking in, to stay within a TD to a much better team and QB, seems like a lot to ask.
After a little rust shake off, I see UCF getting into the mid 30’s and maybe even touch 40, by the end. It’s just what they do. Score. Can the Yech offense keep up? Get 4td’s worth of points at a min? That just seems like asking a lot at this point of the freshman QB Sims.
Also, this is the one Power 5 opponent for UCF this year. They’ll want to make an impression I would think.
UCF 38 Yech 23
Good luck fellas
