I did it. I moved Grier to #1. I'm all aboard on that offense. Khalil Tate is obviously amazing, and I'm glad Sumlin is there now instead of a dinosaur (like the guy at the other Arizona school). But Tate only had 118 rushing yards in his final 3 games (he threw for over 300 yards in the bowl game). I still have him #2, so it's not like I'm worried about him. But there's just a safety with Grier. He's 23 years old. Tate won't turn 20 until about halfway into the season. I hope I'm not thinking too hard about it, but I just like the idea of Grier being consistent. In the weeks where Tate doesn't go off rushing, I wonder if you can count on him passing-wise. Maybe I'm just too old-school, but at the end of the day I always favor the guys who can stand in there and deliver the throws. Grier completed 250 passes last year to Tate's 111...in the same amount of games. If you compare my 1.0 to 2.0, you'll also see that I dropped TaQuon Marshall and the K-State situation. If you are a runner, you still have to be a threat to throw for at minimum 2,000 yards imo. Again on Tate, he did complete 62% of his passes and I still have him #2. This is just more about Grier and his weapons than it is about docking Tate.
A couple other things. Still waiting to hear the word on the Clemson situation. If it's Lawrence for sure, I will have no choice but to move him up. I was listening to the 247 podcast and Barton Simmons was saying that he killed the spring game and it's not a fluke (meaning only it's not surprising to see Hunter Johnson transfer).
I also made an educated guess on a few of the situations and removed the backup option. Seems like Francois will be fine and ready. Seems like Starkel will win the A&M job. And I also gave the UCLA job to Speight (at least for now).

As always, any feedback would be greatly appreciated. There are really a lot of good QBs out there. The Top 45 or so are really solid. A couple guys I'm going to keep an eye on outside of that are Bryce Perkins and Feleipe Franks. Not sure I'll be able to move Franks up much bc it's just Mullen and hype at this point. But Perkins was a Top 5 dual-threat guy coming out of high school when he committed to Arizona State. Could be something there. Benkert was pretty good there last year.
