Below are some trends in college football this week. Please note that I'm not betting every single one of these trends and it also doesn't mean I can't go against a specific trend. These were just the 20 ATS trends I found most interesting this week.
1. Clemson is on a 0-7 ATS run laying 20 or more points on the road. This week they are -22.5 at Syracuse on Friday night.
2. Wisconsin has won the last 11 meetings vs Purdue covering 10 of the games. This week the Badgers are -17 vs the Boilers.
3. Toledo has won the last 7 meetings vs Central Michigan covering 6 of the games. This week the Rockets are -7 at Central.
4. Northern Illinois has won 9 straight over Buffalo covering 7 of the games (avg win by 29 ppg). This week the Huskies are -5 at the Bulls.
5. Connecticut is now 0-5 ATS this year and dating back to last season has failed to cover in 10 straight games. This week, the Huskies are +10 at Temple.
6. North Carolina has won 7 straight over Virginia covering 6 of the games. However, this week the Tar Heels are +3.5 at home to the Cavaliers.
7. Michigan has beaten Indiana 21 straight times going 12-9 ATS. This week the Wolverines are -7 at the Hoosiers.
8. East Carolina is on a 2-13-1 ATS run dating back to last season. This week the Pirates are +35 at UCF.
9. This week Tulane is in their largest road favorite role (-13.5 at FIU) since 2003.
10. This week Iowa St (-22.5 vs Kansas) is in their largest favorite role over an FBS opponent since 1976 (-26 vs Utah).
11. Florida St has beat Duke 19 straight times going 13-6 ATS. This week the Noles are -7 at the Blue Devils.
12. Air Force is 0-7 ATS after playing Navy. This week the Falcons are -7.5 at home vs UNLV.
13. UCLA has won and covered 5 straight over Arizona. This week the Bruins are -1 at the Wildcats.
14. Texas has covered 4 straight games in the Red River Rivalry including a pair of outright upsets as double-digit underdogs in 2013 and 2015. This week the Longhorns are +7 vs the Sooners.
15. This week Nebraska (+24 vs Ohio St) is in their largest home underdog role in at least 40 years.
16. This week New Mexico St (-7.5 at Georgia Southern) is in their largest conference away favorite role since 2008 when they were -12.5 Idaho and lost outright 20-14.
17. Michigan St is on a 0-6 ATS run as a road favorite (this week -4 at Minnesota).
18. This week Arizona St (+17.5 vs Washington) is in their largest home underdog role since 1996 when they were +25 vs No. 1 Nebraska and won outright 19-0.
19. Arizona St has covered 11 straight in the series vs Washington winning 10 of those game straight up. This week the Sun Devils are +17.5 at home vs Washington.
20. This week Boise St (+7 at San Diego St) is in their largest conference underdog role since 2005 when they were +9.5 at Fresno St and lost 27-7.
