These are the top two seeds of the tournament. To tell you the truth this line scares me a little. Why only 2 1/2. SEMO swept the season series winning by 15 away and by 16 at home. Both times SEMO scored in the 80's and held SIU-E to in the 60's. SEMO dominates in the stats and actually have been playing much better defense lately than their stats show. SEMO wins their semi-final game by 19 in blow out fashion while SIU-E survives being up 2 and TSU having the ball with 32 seconds left.
I was reminded in my thread yesterday to not second guess myself and I'm not going to do that today. One thing you may not know about this SEMO team. KenPom has them ranked #351 in average height. They start 4 guards and a forward but two of those starting guards are point guards. That's one reason they lead the conference in TO's. They can, and do, bring two 7' off the bench along with a athletic 6'7" forward. All their guards can shoot and at any given time any one of them can go off for 15-20 points.
In the last 10 games in this series SEMO is 8-2 and 8-1-1 ATS. On the year SEMO is 20-9-0 ATS while SIU-E is 16-12-1. I look for SEMO to punch their ticket to the dance and come away with the win and cover.
