Clayton Kershaw notched his 3,000th career strikeout and Freddie Freeman capped a three-run 9th by singled in Shohei Ohtani, lifting the 55-32 Dodgers to a 5-4 win over the 28-58 White Sox last night. The Dodgers trailed 4-2 entering the 9th and hadn't scored since the 2nd when Michael Conforto singled and Tommy Edman and Hyesong Kim drew back-to-back walks to open the 9th. Ohtani hit into a run-scoring forceout and Mookie Betts tied the score with a sac fly. Freeman followed with his game-winning single. It was the Dodgers’ 14th win in their last 17 games.

Conclusion: The Dodgers are the much better team in this one. Thay re the best hitting team I baseball, average well over 3 runs more per game than the anemic White Sox, who are one of the worst hitting teams in baseball. The Dodgers also have the better bullpen. That brings us to the two starting pitchers and suffice it to say, I don’t trust either one enough for a 1st 5 bets. That Said, the can and should be able to win this one with their bats alone.
