Rob Manfred proposed the GAB(golden at bat) on a podcast….
”…..the basics of the Golden At-Bat – that a team could, once a game or so, send its best player to the plate regardless of who was due to hit, guaranteeing the stars are up in a clutch situation….”

I was a fan of the pitch clock and other rule changes to speed up the game. As a guy who’s played ball since a kid and loves the sport, even I hated the long games and could rarely watch a whole one w/o getting bored. I’m not a fan of the DH in the NL but it’s not a deal breaker for me but what Manfred proposes in the GAB rule is. The DH rule took away from the core of the game because of all the strategies involved with the pitcher and his turn at bat, possible game changing decisions had to be made. I grudgingly accepted the change but this GAB rule is a fvcking joke by taking even more strategy out of the game. I understand some things need to adapt or die but this is going too far, IMO
