For what it’s worth, yesterday the universe got back at me with a vengeance for my three outstanding previous days. I got my ass kicked. Almost everything that could have gone wrong did. I’ll total the damages and post them tomorrow, but suffice it to say that I’m no longer in the black for the season. I should also mention that the Yankees and Giants made my shit list yesterday. The Yanks lose two straight to very mediocre Cards, and the Giant lose two straight to the AAA Marlins???
Today, Labor Day, we still have just one MLB team that is playing .600 ball, and that’s the Dodgers.

It’s Labor Day and the unofficial end of summer. The NFL gets started this week. We have more activities planned, so there isn’t much time for game breakdowns. This is the best I can do.
Here are my gut thoughts on today’s games.
STL @ MI
The Brewers are better than the Cards. That’s why they’re running away with the NL Central. Freddy Peralta should be better and Andre Parlante. My only concernis when do the Brewers take their foot of the accelerator. Hope it’s not today.

No surprise here. The White Sox are the worst team in baseball. The O’s should be much better. Corbin Burnes has struggled in his recent starts, but nothing cures a slup like a visit from the Pale Hose. Chirs Flexen in just bad. Always has been and always will be.

The Astros are a lot better than the Reds, and Jusdtin Verlander, even in his current state should be better than Julioan Aguilar.

The Dodgers are the only MLB team playing over .600 ball. Jack Flaherty’s been a bit of a disappointment since coming to the Dodgers, and Eduardo Rodriguez is capable, when he’s healthy and apparently, he is. The odd on this one are strange. I would have expected the Dodgers to be favored by more. Experience tells me to beware on this one. The oddsmakers don’t usually get these things wrong. The Dbacks offense is very good, good enough to hang with the Dodgers, but the the Dodgers seems to be playing their best ball right now.

I still don’t know who’s starting for the Tigers, and as lomng as it’s not Tarik Skubal, I don’t care. I love what I’ve seen of joe Musgrove since his return and the Padres should be better than the Dodgers.

I hate the f**king” Yanks right now. I still maintain the manager and GM have to go. How can a team with Aaron Judge and Juan Soto lose two in a row to a very mediocre Cards team? All that said, the reigning World Series champs have been even worse. The Yanks should be better than the Rangers, and while Gerrit Cole and Andrew Heaney have similar stats, Cole should be much better. One concern is how the Yanks struggle v lefties. Hell they were beaten by Patrick Corbin last week and Heaney is certainly better than Corbin. I’m holding my nose on this one and betting Cole bounces back.
