Edge – SF
Conclusion: The Giants are the better team here. The important thing to know here is that the overall stats can’t be completely trust in this game. That’s because the Rockies are much worse away from the friendly confines of Coors Field. They are now a dismal 14-38 away from Coors and average just 3.60 runs per game on the road, as compared to a 24-29 record at Coors averaging 4.94 run per game. Jordan Hicks got off to a fast start but has tapered off recently. Since he wasn’t a starter until this season, maybe the innings are catching up with him. Austin Gomber has simply not pitched very well.

Conclusion: This are two lousy teams. The A’s hit a little better, but one of the few things that I like about the Angels is Jose Soriano. The stats tell me that he is much better than Hogan Harris.

Conclusion: While the Pirates are much improved from where they were a season ago, the Diamondbacks are probably still the better team. The Diamondbacks are clearly the much better hitting team, averaging more than ¾ of a run more per game with a clearly better stat profile. That brings us to the two starting pitchers and the Pirate should have an edge there with vet Mitch Keller. Keller has been consistently solid while Diaz is still an unproved commodity. For fove innings, I’d rather have Keller even though he’s facing a dangerous Diamodbacks’ lineup.
