929 Blue Jays (-115) over Mets (Jin Ryu vs Walker)
The Blue Jays were shut out yesterday but I think their lineup will have an edge over Taijuan Walker. This Blue Jays lineup is filled with former major leaguer kids and they rank 2nd in baseball in BA and 1st against righties led by MVP candidate Vlad Guerrero Jr. and Hyun Jin Ryu will get the start and he’s having a great season while being even better over his last 3 starts. He also has 9 career starts against the Mets and he’s been dominant with a 5-1 record and a 1.23 ERA with a 0.93 WHIP while facing just about every projected starter that’ll be in the Mets lineup which is pretty rare for an inter league matchup. Walker has had a great year but he’s fallen off over his last 4 starts with a 5.63 ERA and 1.43 WHIP. He’s made 4 career starts against the Blue Jays and he hasn’t beaten them in his career going 0-3 with a 3.96 ERA and 1.32 WHIP and he hasn’t faced many of the big bats in the Jays lineup yet but over his last 10 starts when he’s faced a similar lineup to the Blue Jays against the Nationals he gave up 10 hits 4 earned runs and 2 homers and I think the Blue Jays are more than capable of doing the same or worse.
