It has not been a good day so far. Indians blow a 3-0 lead early and Cobb has notcontrol or command tonight.
Well, I still have the Dodgers and they should win this game, so I’m all in on LA ronight

Weathers has made 4 appearances, the first three out of the Padr4es bullpen and one start against these Dodgers in SD. In stat start, Weathers went 3.2 scoreless innings, giving up 1 hit and 2 walks, with 3 Ks.
Buehler has started three games for the Dodgers and all three were good. He has given up a total of 4 runs on 17 hits and just 1 walk over 18 innings with 12 Ks. Buehler’s WHIP and ERA are both superb, but his ERA metrics are all much higher. Part of that is due to a strand rate that’s almost 20 points higher than his career rate. That should normalize as the season progresses. My only concern is Buehler’s low 17.1% K rate, which is more than 1o points lower than his next worse rate. What concerns me is that I have no explanation. I love his 12/1 K/BB ratio.

Edge – LAD big
Conclusion: The Dodgers have probably the best offense in the league, and the Padres offense is struggling. Both bullpen are good, but the numbers so fare give the Padres a small edge. That leaves the two starting pitchers. I know Weathers is highly touted and he’s looked solid in a very small big league sample size, but Walker Buehler been an eleite starting pitcher. The lack of Ks concerns me because I can’t explain it, but the guy I still gtting it done abd I trust his a lot more that a highly touted, but unproven rookie that the Dodgerrs will be seeing for the second time. Yes, he’s a lefty and the Dodgers do struggle more with lefties, but only by comparison to how they murder righties. I’ll take my chances with Buehler for 5 innings and the much better offense..
