915 Angels -120 over Blue Jays
Angels opened up this series with a big win putting up 10 runs off 13 hits and I’m looking for that to continue as they send out Tyler Skaggs. Skaggs faced the Blue Jays earlier this season and went 6 innings allowed 4 hits 2 earned runs and 5 strikeouts with a WHIP of 1.17 and an ERA 3.00. The Blue Jays also struggle this season against left handed pitching with a record of 10-12 and against teams with a losing record the Blue Jays are 10-18 while the Angels are 16-11. The Blue Jays will send out Marcus Stroman and he’s coming off 2 consecutive starts where he’s thrown 100+ pitches and has faced the Angels earlier this season and only lasted 3.1 innings allowing 6 hits and 4 earned runs with a WHIP of 2.40 and an ERA of 10.80 and in his career vs batters that will potentially be in the lineup for the Angels he hasn’t pitched well with a .408 OBA and .449 OBP. Justin Bour, David Fletcher, Tommy La Stella, Jonathan Lucroy, Albert Pujols, Mike Trout and Justin Upton all hit .450 or better off Stroman and should be in the lineup so it should be a long day for Stroman again. Angels are 7-2 in the last 9 meetings in Toronto and the Blue Jays are 7-19 in their last 26 games.
