It's hard to argue with your Red Sox pick at that price. I took the Red Sox on Saturday and when they went up 5-0 in the 3rd inning, I was counting my winnings. But then they didn't get another baserunner until the 8th and were shut out the rest of way, with the Rays getting the tying runs on base a couple of times. I had to sweat it out a bit laying both the ML and RL.
I came away wondering if the Sox were finally having a let down, and stayed away from them Sunday, even though they have an excellent record for not just winning - but covering the RL. Good decision as they were shut out, extending their scoreless streak to 15 innings ...
So ... maybe the Sox were just a little bored and having a letdown, looking ahead to the Tribe coming to town, or ... they could be in a slump. At a coin flip price ... like I said, cannot argue with that selection, but I'll sit that one out.
I am taking a hard look at the Stros. You're right that Seattle has seen Cole 3 times, but in his two starts in Seattle he's done very well. You're going to get maximum focus from the Stros, who are a better road team and their games with Seattle have been dominated by the road team. Several of the Stros' hitters do well against Felix, even though they have not yet had a crack at him this year, which is his worst year and first negative WAR of career.
