CFB Selection For Thanksgiving Day
T.C.U. + 8 (-125)
"Food For Thought" - Texas (T.C.U.'s opponent today) Head Coach Mack Brown, when approached by Texas A & M.'s "QB Johnny Football" during the early part of Johnny's High School Year, went to see Coach Brown, to ask for a chance to "walk on" as a freshman football player. Johnny QB's high school films, clearly show the ability of this fine young man, but admittingly he is not a big boy. After looking at the films, Coach Brown remarked that while Johnny's films were impressive, his size was a problem. Brown told the young man, "I know your parents, and they are fine people. I also know they are very good golfers. Son, why don't you play golf in college and forget about football." He got the same crap from Les Miles at L.S.U. So, this young man was determined to play, and look what Johnny QB has done when given just a chance at A & M. In his freshman year, he was actually never stopped by the likes of L.S.U. and other SEC powerhouses. My point here is, Mack Brown's ability to know talent when he sees it, is highly questionable. So is his coaching. The young man did NOT want a scholarship, just a chance. Well, lets see what kind of favorite you are vs. T,C.U. Coach Brown. Les Miles already found out! If you like Mack Brown, you must love Texas. But if you respect Johnny QB, you gotta love T.C.U. plus the points today, as the Longhorns won't get any help from ole Mack Brown. What goes around, comes around. Just ask Les Miles if he wished he would have given Johnny QB a shot!
