My Double-Dime 8* play is on the Mem Grizzlies at 8:05 ET.
The Magic beat Charlotte 102-95 last night, clinching the No. 6 seed (will open vs Indiana). However, Glen Davis sprained his right ankle and while X-rays were negative, he's considered day-to-day (why play him here?). The Magic's frontcourt has already been ‘drained’ by Dwight Howard's season-ending back surgery last week, plus Hedo Turkoglu has missed 10 games with a facial fracture. Meanwhile, Memphis is one of the hottest teams in the NBA heading into the playoffs, winning 13 of 16, while holding opponents to 91.2 PPG. Memphis has won 16 of its last 18 games at home (both losses in OT), including the last 10 in a row. A win here and the Grizzlies will earn the home court advantage vs the Clippers in the first round, which would mark a FIRST for this franchise. Is this line high? As that great political seer Sarah Palin would say, “You Betcha.” However, I’m laying the points.
Good luck...Larry
