Dempster is struggling right now.  The Cubs are working him, possibly over-pitching him.. And when his Slider isn't hitting the zone, he simply doesn't have the life or velocity on his fastball to break bats or get K's.  Colorado is one of the hottest lineups in baseball, and they can be absolutely ferocious in their home ballpark.  Especially the lefties in their lineup... They've got some good ones, and that's a big negative for Dempster's chances today.

Alan Johnson is on the mound for Colorado.  Dude is a lifer in A-ball.  Certainly doesn't have major league type stuff.  But that's the beauty of this.  We can get the hottest team in baseball against a struggling Cubs starter at a low price simply because of the lack of prospect the Rocks are sending out today. 1.5 units.
