NJ DEVILS TO WIN IN REGULATION (DEVILS 60 MIN LINE) I talked about this game briefly on SOV Am this morning (Shamless plug if you aren’t listening to this podcast, you should, search Straight Outta Vegas AM) Anyway, I mentioned Vitek Vanecek’s latest run in net for the Devils. In his last 7 starts, Vanecek is 7-0 with a 2.10 Goals Against Average and .930 Save Percentage. Those numbers would both be good for 2nd best in the NHL this season. The Devils are also backing him up offensively. Jack Hughes is having a tremendous season and the team has scored 4.1 goals per game in their last 10 games. Vegas meanwhile has struggled a bit offensively. The Knights have scored just 2,5 goals per game in their last 7. They are on the 2nd game of a road trip that started in Arizona and will see them complete the NY/NJ trio before heading to Nashville and Minnesota. The Devils are rested having been home and are playing much better right now in front of a hot goaltender. I see no other way to play this than a Devils win.
