The Devils have won 13 straight games tying a franchise record. Tonight, that record stays at 13 as I’m backing Toronto to get the win. These 2 teams played last Thursday with the Devils winning 3-2 in Overtime. In that game, the Leafs dominated the face-offs, had more power play opportunities, and more takeaways. Now they had more giveaways which is how you lose a game, especially since one of those bad giveaways led to the Devils second goal early in the 2nd period. Im expected a cleaner game tonight from Toronto. The leafs are in great form, going 6-1-3 in their last 10. They are averaging 3.2 goals per game in their last 10. Matt Murray will be back in net tonight and we was fantastic vs the Devils last week stopping 30 shots. Murray is riding a .933 save percentage in his 3 starts since returning from injury. The Devils meanwhile, are riding a scorching hot goaltender in Vitek Vanecek. He’s posted a 9-1 record and a 2.14 Goals Against Average. He only has a 0.7 Goals Saved Above expected though and perhaps facing him a second time will give the Leafs confidence in how to attack him. Toronto is in good form lately and primed to take this one. I like the plus money value here.
