Nashville is in a weird scheduling situation. The Predators just played five straight home games. They travel to Detroit here and then come back to Nashville for three more home games.
The Predators have been very lucky. Their last five victories have all been by one goal, including a 4-3 shootout win against the lowly Coyotes this past Monday. Nashville has given up 10 goals in its last three games.
The Predators have lost eight of their past 11 road games.
The Red Wings have been idle since Saturday. Detroit is 5-2-1 at home. The Red Wings are 5-4 in their last nine games with three of those defeats occurring by one goal - one in overtime and another in a shootout.
