Chicago Bears +3.5 (-115)
Bears might have the worst quarterback in the league (at least that’s what the stats say currently), but Daniel Jones isn’t far behind. In the battle of ‘bad quarterbacks’, I like the situation Chicago is in. New York played a tough game against Dallas on MNF, a game that was close until the 4th quarter. Of course everyone knows that they lost their top WR (Shepard) in that game, and the whole team was just devastated afterwards. Can this team bounce-back on a short week and have a strong showing? I’m not so sure. Losing Shepard is huge, as this team literally has very limited options behind him. And now comes a Bears D that ranks 4th in QB pass-pressure on the season. I wouldn’t be surprised if Daniel Jones generates a few juicy turnovers for Chicago here. Last week I backed Dallas partly because I loved their pass-rushing ability against the Giants. Well, Dallas ranks 3rd in the QB-pressure metric, only one stop ahead of the Bears. The public has no faith in Chicago, backing NY at almost 80%. But I’m not so sure the Giants are a better team in this matchup. Give me the points and the Bears D in this one.
