This total is just way too low. Gerrit Cole may be the Ace of the Yankees staff and big household name, but he has given up a ton of runs this season. He has a home ERA north of 3 and the HR ball is his kryptonite. Cole has allowed the 2nd most HRs in baseball with 29 in his 30 starts. He’s allowed 8 long balls in his last 5 starts. The Red Sox hit 3 off him the last time he faced them and I can see them doing it again tonight. Then there’s Rich Hill. Hill’s been tagged for 13 runs on 24 hits in 17.2 innings this month. Against a Yankees team averaging 5.27 runs per game at home this season, expect him to give up his fair share. The wind is also blowing out to right field tonight. So the short porch will come into play. With 2 pitchers this hittable, and 2 offenses capable of putting up runs, I’ll take the over and watch for Aaron Judge to hit number 61.
