James Kaprielian is 2 different pitchers this season. On the road, he’s a modest 3-4 with a 3.91 ERA. At home however, he’s 0-5 with a 5.87 ERA. Not sure what the reasoning is, but it cannot be denied. The Mariners only managed 1 hit last night and tonight need to bounce back. Robbie Ray needs a bounce back as well coming off 2 bad starts. Last time out in Oakland earlier this season, Ray threw 6 innings of 1 run ball. Against the A’s this season, Ray has allowed 5 runs in 18.2 innings. Oakland is still the lowest scoring team in baseball at home averaging 3.03 runs per game. Against lefties, they have a wRC+ of 87. At home, that number shrinks to 81, worst in the league. Expect a big bounce back from the Mariners tonight, lay the wood.
