This total is scary low. Why is it so low? The Astros offense is just insane right now. Last night, without Yordan Alvarez in the lineup, they easily put up 5 runs against one of the best pitchers in the AL in Shane McLanahan. Tonight they face Corey Kluber, who’s been awful his last few starts. 10 runs in 6 innings on 17 hits combined. McCullers meanwhile for Houston is a regression candidate. His expected ERA is over a run higher than his actual ERA. He’s escaped danger and gotten lucky based on his underlying metrics. The Rays have not scored a run in this series and they desperately need to snap that. I can easily see the Rays bouncing back and scoring some runs off McCullers.
