I had considered the Angels last night after they were beaten by Seattle and Trout had the day off. Then the pitching change to Sandoval sealed that deal. Not only is Sandoval one of the hottest pitchers in baseball with a WHIP of just 1.05 (and an ERA of 1.69) over his last seven games, but Texas has only seen him once an beat him. Not badly, but that almost always gives the pitcher the advantage next go round. Ragans has been mostly pathetic. So much so that Oakland has crushed him twice and the Angels are a far better team against LHP's. The Angel pen has been shaky lately, so I might consider splitting this F5 and full game, but the Angels as a favorite have an above .500 winning percentage so when they are favored it's generally for good reason. As bad as Los Angeles has been this season, Texas has only won five of their last 20 games and I don't see that trend changing tonight.
