I'm playing SEATTLE at +1.5 runs. The Mariners' bats came alive against Verlander last night. I expect them to carry the positive momentum into this evening's game. Gilbert is 4-2 with a 2.77 ERA and 1.096 WHIP. Urquidy's numbers aren't as good. While he's got a 4-1 record, his ERA is 4.24 and he's got a 1.414 WHIP. A closer look shows that his ERA climbs to 6.55 (1.636 WHIP) on the road. While the Astros haven't seen Gilbert this season, the M's already pounded Urquidy here last month. In that 4/17 game, they scored six runs against him in four innings, en route to a 7-2 win. I say they earn at LEAST the 'run-line cover.'
