Analysis

I know the Bucks are the defending champs and have a 2x MVP in Giannis but I think the wrong team is the favorite for this matchup as my numbers have the Grizzlies as a 1 point favorite so I’ll gladly grab the points with Memphis. The Grizzlies are 12-1 ATS in their last 13 road games and the Bucks are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite. This season Memphis is proving to be a legit title contender with a offensive and defensive rating that ranks inside the top 10 with a strength of schedule that ranks above average. The Bucks remain one of the top teams in the East but they have the easiest strength of schedule this year and are just 11-13 SU against teams that are .500 or better while Memphis is 19-10 SU against teams .500 or better. The Grizzlies will be without a couple key players in Desmond Bane and Kyle Anderson as they went into health and safety protocols but this is a deep team with players able to step in and fill their roles plus Ja Morant is more than capable of taking on more offensive responsibility with Bane being out as he’s proving to be a top 3 MVP candidate this season so far.
