Georgia is fully motivated here, despite the fact they are in the playoff with a loss. Their history against Alabama is well publicized. They haven’t beaten Bama since Saban’s first year as head coach, when Kirby Smart was his DC, and Bama has ripped their hearts out a few times in this SEC Title game. This feels different though, because for once Bama isn’t the better team. Bama’s offense scored ZERO points in the 1st 50 minutes against Auburn, and until the last minute of regulation, had only scored 3. This was against a .500 Auburn team who game up 84 points in the 3 weeks prior, against Texas A&M, Miss State and South Carolina. Now they face a Georgia defense that has given up 83 points all season. Bryce Young got sacked seven times in the Auburn game. They had 17 plays of 0 or negative yardage. On the other side, Georgia has scored over 40 in 4 straight weeks, and have scored 30 or more in every game since week 1. Bama is down to one scholarship running back, and they have real offensive line problems against the team you can least afford to have them against. I think the Dogs physically manhandle this Tide team that has just not quite reloaded talent wise from what they lost last year.
