Analysis

The Lakers played their best defensive game in their last game against the Kings and that was largely due to Frank Vogel’s adjustments in the 2nd half playing Dwight Howard for an extended period of time especially with Anthony Davis. Those two were able to anchor the backend of the defense while the perimeter players took more pride in containing their man which allowed them to get some easy baskets on the offensive end so because of the success they had in their last game I think Vogel takes those 2nd half adjustments into this game and looks to build on that momentum. Also the Lakers get back LeBron James out of health and safety protocols after having a false positive COVID test which should make them even better. Paul George has been having a great season for the Clippers but they might be depending on him to much as he sat out their last game for rest and they’ve been struggling as of late going 3-7 SU over their last 10 games and have the 7th worst net rating over the same time period. The Clippers are also up against a tough scheduling spot with this being their 4th game in 6 days so I'm expecting them to have tired legs at some point in the game and for the Lakers to take advantage of that to get the win and cover.
