This total isn't high enough. Memphis has one of the nations best passing attacks and that's how you have to attack Houston. You can't run on Houston and it's not out of the question that Memphis throws the ball 45 to 50 times in this this game. In 3 of the last 5 games, Memphis has thrown the ball 55,53 and 40 times. On the flip side, the way to beat Memphis is by throwing the ball. They stink defending the pass and Houston is gunning for a big win here. They need style points as they sit 9-1 on the season. They are ranked 17th in the nation and a big score win here would boost them into a situation to make a very big bowl game. Houston defense might look good in the stats area, but they got bopped against good passing teams. They allowed 37pts to SMU and 42 to USF. Both of those teams gunned away in the passing game and it showed up on the scoreboard. Houston is a good sized favorite in this game and I see a shootout. I see this one in that 46-40 area. Way over. Total is wrong. It should be like 67.5 or 68.
