The line is interesting as the A's get one of the best arms on the hill tonight with Kaprielian. The issue i have with him is that he's been loaded up with a bunch of starts against bad hitting teams. That won't be the case tonight and although this line is high, I think it's justified. He doesn't get roughed up often, but the Padres are coming off two losses they will be salty tonight. This could be a game in which Kaprielian gets knocked around a bit. I don't trust Paddack at all. He's been better his last two starts but the A's are coming off a few losses as well. I think we see two teams tonight looking to attack these pitchers and not sitting in the box waiting for that perfect pitch. Lineups will be strong tonight and the weather will be great for baseball. This line should be 9.
