For starters this total has come down to 8, so getting +1.5 is getting 18% of the projected runs without paying dearly for it. I often look to fade good pitchers coming off the IL, and that's what McCullers is doing. Texas beat him before his IL stint, and the swept Houston in Texas after getting swept in Houston, so the takeaway there is that they have confidence, and they should. Gibson, when he's on, is a ground ball pitcher that keeps it in the park. Texas has won 8 of his 12 starts and his season-long ERA is 2.14 with a WHIP of 1.00. If McCullers has a weakness it can be control since he's prone to walking people. I won't be worried if Gallo isn't in since he's K'd 13 times in 22 AB's against McCullers. So, while I know Houston is the better team and Texas is in last place, the Rangers are profitable as an underdog this season and even as a +200 or more dog this season they've won two of three, so either stealing one or playing a close game isn't a stretch.
