I'm playing MIAMI on the run-line (+1.5 runs) While its only one start, Lopez was MUCH better in his opener than Flaherty. Lopez has a 0.00 ERA and 0.80 WHIP. He gave up just two hits while striking out four, over five shutout innings. Flaherty, on the other hand, has an ugly 12.46 ERA from his first start, as he gave up six runs in 4 1/3 innings. As I said, thats only one start. However, Lopez also had much better numbers in 2020 than Flaherty. Flaherty had a 4.91 ERA in nine starts, Lopez had a 3.61 ERA in 11 starts. Lopez had a 2.63 ERA this spring, Flaherty was 0-2 with a 5.40 ERA this spring. Lopez has made one regular season start against St. Louis and it was "quality." He allowed just two earned runs, on only four hits, through seven complete innings. He didn't get any run support though and ended up on the wrong side of a 3-2 loss. Expect AT LEAST another "run-line cover" from Lopez and the Marlins this afternoon.
