I'm playing on Minnesota/Detroit OVER the total. While I stayed off yesterday's game, I won with the 'over' in Monday's opener. This afternoon, we're working with the lowest O/U line of the series. I believe that it'll prove to be too low. Maeda can indeed be tough. However, he only went 4 1/3 innings in his first start and did have some trouble with his slider. He survived with minimal damage but a 1.848 WHIP shows that he was flirting with danger. Conditions were "blizzard like" for Boyd's first start, so the hitters may have been a little off. To his credit, Boyd tossed 5 2/3 shutuout innings. He did walk twice as many (4) as he struck out though. Also, remember that Boyd was 3-7 with a 6.71 ERA last season. The Tiger bullpen may have held up yesterday but Detroit relievers entered that game with a combined 10.06 ERA and 1.94 WHIP. No weather issues in the area, it should be a good day for hitting; look for this one to prove higher scoring than many will be expecting.
